Dark System is built to be simple and private. We do not require you to create an account, and we do not collect or sell personal information.

Information We Do Not Collect

• We do not collect your name, email, or any contact information during normal site use.
• We do not track your browsing history across other websites.
• We do not sell or share personal data with advertisers.
• We do not use third-party analytics scripts that profile individual users.

Local Storage

Dark System stores a small amount of data in your browser's localStorage and sessionStorage to improve your experience. This data never leaves your device and is never transmitted to our servers:

• Theme preference — whether you prefer dark or light mode (ds-theme).
• Filter and tab state — your last active content tab and filter selections, so your preferences are remembered between visits.
• TMDB API cache — movie and TV show data is cached in sessionStorage for up to 5 minutes to reduce redundant requests and speed up browsing.

Third-Party Services

Dark System uses the following third-party services to function:

• The Movie Database (TMDB) — provides all movie and TV show metadata. When you browse content, requests are made to TMDB's API. Refer to TMDB's Privacy Policy for details on their data practices.
• Google Fonts — used to load our display fonts. Google may log requests per their standard policies.

External Links

When you click a download link, you will be taken to a third-party website. Dark System has no control over those sites and their privacy practices. We encourage you to review the privacy policy of any external site you visit.

Children's Privacy

Dark System is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
